Van Loomis is married to April and has been blessed with three children and five grandchildren. He was called to be the pastor of RGBC in 2005. Before that, he pastored churches in AL and NC. Van's major pastoral ministry emphasis is teaching, preaching, and discipleship. He enjoys reading good theology, shooting at the gun range, and watching old shows of "This Old House" and "The New Yankee Workshop".

Marvin Jones is married to Karen Jones and has 4 daughters and 2 grandchildren.  He joined the faculty in 1986 as a full-time professor at Hannibal-LaGrange College in Mark Twain's hometown of Hannibal, MO, and completed his dissertation and PhD in 1990.  While in Hannibal he also served as bi-vocational pastor of 2 churches. He left Hannibal in 1999 to move to Mathews, VA. He is a charter member and one of the original elders of RGBC  in 2000.  He became a software engineer in 1999 and retired early in 2024 from that job.  His major ministry emphasis is being available for counseling for whoever may need it.  His interests are learning from those saints who, being dead, yet speak through their writings.  I also enjoy many who are still breathing. He also is interested in exploring the theological and philosophical issues underlying Artificial Intelligence.

Mike Thompson is married to Kathleen and has been blessed with two daughters and nine grandchildren.  He is a retired US Army Officer, having spent 22 years in service to his country, and another 20 years as a defense contractor and DoD civilian employee. He has always enjoyed and felt blessed to serve others wherever he was stationed or lived.  Mike was ordained as an elder for RGBC in February 2024.  His major pastoral ministry emphasis is executive administration. He also enjoys teaching.  Mike likes reading and studying the Bible and books by godly men.  He also loves spending time with his grandkids, Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream, and pizza/movie nights with family.
